A Morning Glory Monday “JOY Bomb”!!

Standard

You’re gonna love this.  I mean, like really love this.  Because who doesn’t love a good joy bomb?!  Check it out:

Is that not just so FUN?!  I LOVE it!  I’m seriously movin’ and groovin’ now as I sit here and type this Morning Glory Monday post! (BTW – I LOVE the guy at about 1:33 into the video – he is so cute!  He’s definitely feeling the JOY!)

Music stirs our souls!  It goes far beyond the spoken word and expresses our moods, our feelings, and often lets us reveal our true state of mind.  It can:

lift us up when we are low…

After that, whenever the bad depression tormented Saul, David got out his harp and played. That would calm Saul down, and he would feel better as the moodiness lifted. 1 Samuel 16:23

help us express love and gratitude when just words aren’t enough…

Hallelujah!  Praise God in his holy house of worship, praise him under the open skies; Praise him for his acts of power, praise him for his magnificent greatness; Praise with a blast on the trumpet,  praise by strumming soft strings;  Praise him with castanets and dance, praise him with banjo and flute;  Praise him with cymbals and a big bass drum, praise him with fiddles and mandolin.  Let every living, breathing creature praise God!  Hallelujah!  Psalm 150:1-6

grant us courage in times of fear or when we feel powerless…

So the jailer put [Paul and Silas] into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks.  Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!  Acts 16:24-26

Music has the power to move the heart of God!  To bring joy to this world and beyond.  To make a powerful impact on the hearts and spirits of others.  And to sometimes just bring a little glory into the drudgery of daily life (…like a joy bomb on an elevator ride…!).

So today, I triple dog dare you to:

mircrophone psalm 984

because you just never know what the amazing impact of that might be!

Have a glorious week, sweet friends!  See you back here on Thursday!

Peace, love, and glory-filled JOY!
